Superb Salzburg Lake Region

From the second half of the 19th century, Viennese high society spent their summers on the picturesque lakes of the Salzkammergut. One emulated the emperor who resided in Bad Ischl with his wife and court. Summering in the Salzkammergut meant: socialising, joie de vivre and relaxation on the lakes. This epoch’s charm is still palpable today.
